S4HANA CS/PM : MASS UPDATE OF FUNCTIONAL LOCATION - IL05

while we are working with Functional Location, sometimes we get a requirement from Business for Mass update of Functional Location

We will see how this can be done .

Call Transaction Code IL05--- Change Functional Location List

Enter the list of Functional Locations in the field

After input of Functional Location, execute and it will extract the list of FL to be changed

Now call below navigation,

GOTOT-->CARRYOUT MASS CHANGE

Once we click on above function, a Pop-up will open which gives the option to change data in either of the below tabs

General Data
Organizational
Location Data

Assume that we have to change ABC CLASSIFICATION from Organization data

If you already have some existing value, it can be replace
Or if it is empty, you can update

here you can test before running Real time executing
you can check if the value fit ( sometime, for example plant data in general will have issues and you can sort out in Check or Test run)

Results during Real time Execution

Which means, the update is successful , now we can check few records in IL02

The only difference in S4HANA and ECC is this Functionality of MASS update has to be enabled in ECC using  Business Functions
But in S4HANA, it is given embedded and no special Functions required to be activated

You can refer to Mass update of Equipment in below blog

TO MAKE INACTIVE CONDITION ACTIVE IN SAP

This blogger contains details on how to set an INACTIVE CONDITION  to ACTIVE while processing Sales Order content: 1.  BUSINESS REQUIREMENT Due to some legal restrictions in Russia, Russia Local Plant cannot hold any stock for the material and hence it is non valuated which means the Standard Price is Zero ( 0 $ ) The stock will be replenished from another company code and we used our Standard Third Party process  in which PR is created which will be converted to PO and when we do GR, the Standard Price of that plant is calculated in the GR. The baseline pricing structure is mapped in such a way that VPRS is calculated from the Material master and on which 15% markup is added as base price. Since the Cost price in VPRS condition is Zero Markup calculated on VPRS will be obviously calculates to Zero and both conditions were set as INACTIVE as per the condition properties 2.  CREATE SALES ORDER we will create a sales order for...
